Please let us introduce ourselves.
First of all, we are three girls who love to sing.!
My name is Ashley, I'm the youngest. My name is Mackenzie, I'm two years older than my eight year old friend Ashely. I'm Kirstin, Mackenzie's older sister by a couple of years.
At age four, my sister Mackenzie was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes. In simple words, she has something wrong in her body that needs to be cured. Ashley was just recently diagnosed with this same terrible disease. In addition, we know that Type 2 diabetes is a growing national health epidemic where a poor diet and lack of exercise cause kids to get sick and become sad!
The three of us love to sing. We have a big dream we passionately sing about.
In our lifetime, we believe a cure will be found for diabetes! Our moms and dads support this dream. With their help, the three of us have recorded a special CD to provide hope and comfort to kids like us, all over the world.
The title of our song is "BRING IT ON."
High energy, Grammy nominated songwriter Lester Abrams is the author! Formerly a song writer for the Doobie Brothers, L ester has worked with B.B. King, Stevie Wonder, Peabo Bryson, Manfred Man, The Average White Band, Quincy Jones (and the list goes on and on).
The song's powerful lyrics are set to an electrifying tune. Ashley is Lester's daughter. Moved by her personal struggle, along with that of kids across the world, he penned "Bring It On," believing that finding a cure is now possible! "BRING IT ON" means bring on the cure!
Lester sums up his efforts, saying, "I wrote this for the kids." Professional musicians do the sound track. Sony Electronics is thanked for generously supplying the CDs and their packaging.
Wherever we can, we sing our hearts out about finding a cure! We've performed "Bring It ON" on Fox Broadcasting news and have even appeared at Sea World. Everywhere we sing, adults and kids alike joyfully respond to our message in song!
